Menstrual Health Management

This project runs and analyzes a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) on improved menstrual health management among secondary school girls in Nigeria. Treatment arms include: 1. Info treatment, in which girls receive free sanitary pads and information about menstrual health and sanitation; 2. Anti-stigma treatment, which provides the info treatment plus an anti-stigma workshop jointly developed with a local psychologist; 3. Norm-correction treatment, which provides the anti-stigma treatment plus stickers about the true social norms regarding open communication on menstruation. We expect gradually stronger treatment effects across treatments with respect to well-being and scholastic outcomes.
